Winter dusk on Cheetham Close, West Pennine Moors
A good covering of snow seems so rare these days so it is important to make the most of any falls. This hill lies behind my house and when the weather began to clear on this November afternoon I made a dash to the summit. I got distracted by the stile photo (also on this gallery) so didn’t reach the top till after the sun had set. However the snow still reflected enough light from the sky to keep the contrast down and I was able to capture the lights of Bolton in the distance.
