Reserved Landscapes
I am now much more open to a wider variety of landscapes than I used to be and get as much pleasure photographing the quieter corners of the countryside as the big, dramatic vistas. I am currently engaged in a long term project with Lancashire Wildlife Trust to photograph the landscapes of their reserves. I enjoy the challenge of seeking out compositions to reflect these places and their quieter nature. This gallery will showcase my work for the Trust together with other photos of nature reserves in the North West.
Boilton Wood now forms part of the Brockholes Nature Reserve recently created by Lancashire Wildlife Trust. An impressive floating visitor centre has been built in the old gravel pits and there are miles of trails around the reserve.
