It is very satisfying when an image that you envisage finally comes to fruition. It is many years ago that I came across this abandoned millstone on Whelpstone Crag and filed it away in the back of my mind for a return visit. I couldn't have asked for better conditions - warm side lighting picking out the texture of the stone and some beautiful whispy clouds in the blue sky.
