A bit of a homage to David Ward, this one. There is an image of his entitled Etive Waterslide in his book 'Landscape Beyond.' I hadn't consciously copied the composition, but clearly his image was securely lodged in the back of my mind. I also find it quite remarkable how landscapes of different geology and separated by over 300 miles can produce similar effects.
