West Burton is one of the prettiest villages in the Dales and its delightful waterfall is frequently photographed. The best foreground for the falls are some small rock shelves a little downstream and I decided to concentrate on these and relegate the waterfall to a subsidiary player in the background. A polariser was essential to cut down reflections.
