Reserved Landscapes
I am now much more open to a wider variety of landscapes than I used to be and get as much pleasure photographing the quieter corners of the countryside as the big, dramatic vistas. I am currently engaged in a long term project with Lancashire Wildlife Trust to photograph the landscapes of their reserves. I enjoy the challenge of seeking out compositions to reflect these places and their quieter nature. This gallery will showcase my work for the Trust together with other photos of nature reserves in the North West.
Wigan Flashes is a Lancs Wildlife Trust reserve that has grown on the site of old colliery workings. There are a series of flashes (lakes) offering habitats for a wide range of birdlife.
