The River Ribble flows lazily towards Bradford Bridge, near Clitheroe. Lovely warm morning light, a faint mist and a heron perched on the tree make for a vpleasing image but I can't help but wonder what I'd have got half an hour earlier when the mist was thicker. One of these days I'll learn my lesson and actually get up in time!

Landscapes of the Ribble
My first book "Landscapes of the Ribble" has now been published by Frances Lincoln. The title is fairly self-explanatory - the images in the book follow the River Ribble from source to sea, exploring the varied landscapes of this delightful area. This gallery contains a selection of images from the book. Copies of the book are currently unavailable, though you may be able to find one through Amazon.
