Whelp Stone Crag lies above the village of Rathmell, on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. It is a good craggy little spot for pottering around and offers really good views of the Three Peaks. Sadly the hazy winter morning robbed me of any sweeping vistas so I concentrated on the gritstone edge instead.

Landscapes of the Ribble
My first book "Landscapes of the Ribble" has now been published by Frances Lincoln. The title is fairly self-explanatory - the images in the book follow the River Ribble from source to sea, exploring the varied landscapes of this delightful area. This gallery contains a selection of images from the book. Copies of the book are currently unavailable, though you may be able to find one through Amazon.
