Whilst walking the Cleveland Way a few summers back I’d made a mental note of the photographic potential of Whitestone Cliff, near Sutton Bank. Late summer proved a good time to return this year for the sun sets at right angles to the cliff and the golden grasses and bright patches of heather add a touch of magic. Sadly the light was not as dramatic as I’d hoped for but it is nevertheless a satisfying image.
