The National Trust own the small headland of Jack Scout, which is the rockiest section of this coastline. It offers great views across Morecambe Bay and the cliffs are a great place to potter. I only just managed to take this photo in time, before the light faded on the rock in the bottom right corner. Without that small patch of light the image would be killed.

The Arnside - Silverdale AONB is a compact but fascinating area on the border of Lancashire and Cumbria. It offers a fine mix of coastal and woodland scenery, with some fabulous areas of limestone pavement.
