Silverdale Cliffs
Lancashire is not known for its rocky coast and the low cliffs at Silverdale are the exception. I was based at nearby Warton, intending to use it as a base to explore Bowland, but never left the Arnside-Silverdale AONB as I could see that there was several days material along this small stretch of coast.

The Arnside - Silverdale AONB is a compact but fascinating area on the border of Lancashire and Cumbria. It offers a fine mix of coastal and woodland scenery, with some fabulous areas of limestone pavement.
