At the end of a very wet day I was having a cup of tea near the ferry port when sunlight started to break through. I went to explore outside, saw a rainbow and went into mild panic mode – rainbows rarely last long and finding a satisfying composition and then executing it using medium format equipment takes time. However I think the spirit of Iona was on my side as I immediately stumbled upon this trickle of water finding its way through the rocks and mirroring the arc of the rainbow.

I’ve travelled to some of the most spectacular locations on the planet and Scotland is still my favourite destination.
