Ribblehead Viaduct is a very impressive piece of Victorian engineering but I wanted to show how small it is in the surrounding landscape. This stream actually runs beneath the road junction and just down from a car park area but the wide-angle view concentrates the eye on the snaking stream. As I was setting up the sheep wandered into view and added a nice additional touch.

Landscapes of the Ribble
My first book "Landscapes of the Ribble" has now been published by Frances Lincoln. The title is fairly self-explanatory - the images in the book follow the River Ribble from source to sea, exploring the varied landscapes of this delightful area. This gallery contains a selection of images from the book. Copies of the book are currently unavailable, though you may be able to find one through Amazon.
