Beauty by Geraldine Pilgrim
I have just been commissioned by Ribble Valley Arts to photograph the 4 temporary artworks that have been installed around the Forest of Bowland to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the area gaining AONB status. Beauty is sited in a dark conifer plantation behind the visitor centre at Beacon Fell Country Park. A series of stones, inscribed with the word 'beauty' in 26 different languages, create a trail leading to an intriguing Perspex box with crossed mirrors inside.
