Marsh Marigold, Tarn Sike
This delightful stream near Sunbiggin Tarn was densely lined with marsh marigold and I spent an age watching dozens of caddisfly larvae wandering along the bed. I returned a few weeks later and a display of meadowsweet was just as spectacular.
