Autumn Evening, Cox Green Quarry
Cox Green Quarry has recently been sold (Oct 2012) with a sales blurb saying that it could be developed for recreational use, including quad biking! It would be a tragedy if this quiet, subtle pocket of 'wilderness' were to be disturbed like that. It is no pristine nature reserve but the way an industrial landscape has been reclaimed helps to create a special feel to the place.
